Cheryl is a determined and organized professional, which makes her a big asset to the HCJ CPAs team. She joined Jones & Company in 1984, right after graduating from college, and has spent the entirety of her professional career serving the firm and its successor, HCJ CPAs. Cheryl’s reliability has been a constant through all her years of service, making her a favorite of clients and coworkers alike. She chose to pursue a career in accounting because she has always been detail-oriented and has cared about people. Her career has allowed her to lean into both of those talents as she both performs analysis and acts as a trusted advisor to her clients.

Raised in Clover Bend, a small farming community, Cheryl currently lives in Jonesboro with her husband, Waylan, who owns a manufacturing business for which Cheryl serves as CFO. The two have one adult daughter and one three-year-old granddaughter. They share their home with their pet cat, an American Bobtail named Josie. Cheryl enjoys living in Jonesboro because it is big enough to offer a lot of opportunities but small enough to provide a real sense of community. In her free time, Cheryl likes to travel, read, and spend time with her granddaughter.
