Joshua Burke – Tax Intern

Joshua is a Tax Intern at HCJ CPAs & Advisors, assisting with the preparation of individual and business tax returns and organizing client tax information. He is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with Data Analytics at Arkansas State University and plans to continue into a master’s program. Joshua has prior experience as a tax scanning intern at HCJ and as an intern with Arkansas Legislative Audit. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, hiking, bird watching, and spending time with family.

Alexis Velasquez – Tax Intern

Alexis is a Tax Intern at HCJ CPAs & Advisors while pursuing his Master of Accountancy. He has prior audit internship experience. Alexis is an active member of professional accounting organizations and enjoys exploring nature, fishing, and staying involved in sports.

Alexandra Flores-Hernandez – Tax Intern

Alexandra is a Tax Intern at HCJ CPAs & Advisors. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting at the University of Central Arkansas with minors in data analytics and honors interdisciplinary studies. Lexy enjoys creative hobbies such as knitting, embroidery, baking, and visiting movie theaters, as well as collecting vinyl records and spending time with her cat, Chloe.

Damien Ehie – Tax Intern

Damien is a Tax Intern assisting with the preparation of individual and business tax returns and compiling financial data. He is working on his Bachelor’s in Accounting with Data Analytics and will pursue his Master’s degree in Accounting with Data Analytics from Arkansas State University. He is highly involved in professional and academic organizations. Outside of work, Damien enjoys music performance, geography, and history.

Tyler King – Tax Intern

Tyler is a Tax Intern in the Tax Department at HCJ CPAs & Advisors and is currently pursuing his accounting degree at Arkansas State University. He is known for his motivation and dedication and enjoys watching movies, basketball, and spending time with friends. Tyler grew up in Jonesboro and values the strong sense of community there.

Jaxson Adams – Audit Intern

Jaxson is an Audit Intern at HCJ CPAs & Advisors while completing his accounting degree at the University of Central Arkansas. He has several years of customer service experience and is known for being dependable and driven. In his free time, Jaxson enjoys reading, exploring downtown Hot Springs, and trying new restaurants with friends.

Connor Stack – CAS Intern

Connor is a CAS Intern at HCJ CPAs & Advisors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Hendrix College and is pursuing his master’s degree. Connor brings a positive and committed approach to his work and enjoys golfing, running, rock climbing, reading, and making espresso.

Jack Hood – Tax Intern

Jack is a Tax Intern at HCJ CPAs & Advisors while pursuing his accounting studies at Arkansas State University. He is actively involved in student leadership and academic organizations. Jack enjoys golf and hunting and values the strong sense of community in Jonesboro.

Juliette Smith – Audit Intern

Juliette is an Audit Intern at HCJ CPAs & Advisors, supporting audit engagements and assisting with innovative solutions to improve efficiency and client experience. She has a strong interest in technology and process improvement and enjoys journaling, shopping, spending time with friends, and being involved in her sorority.
