HCJ CPAs & Advisors PLLC is pleased to announce the promotion of Cheryl Deen, CPA. Deen will be taking on new responsibilities as a principal.   

Joining the firm after graduating from college in 1984, Deen has spent the entirety of her career with HCJ CPAs & Advisors. She specializes in serving medical practice, farming, ginning, family-owned business, and non-profit clients. 

“I am thrilled to congratulate Cheryl as she takes on this new role as principal,” said Karen Garrett, CPA, Managing Partner of HCJ CPAs & Advisors. “With almost 40 years at the firm, she has built longstanding relationships with her clients and colleagues. I am excited to see what she does next as she steps into this new position.” 

Deen is a graduate of Arkansas State University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Arkansas Society of CPAs (ARCPA), the Northeast Arkansas Society of CPAs (NEACPA), and the Arkansas State University Alumni Association. She serves her community as a Board Member, Property Committee Member, and Chair of the Audit Committee for Girl Scouts Diamonds and as a member of the Finance Committee of the Walnut Street Baptist Church. Raised in Clover Bend, Arkansas, a small farming community, Deen currently lives in Jonesboro with her husband, Waylan and their American Bobtail cat, Josie.
