At HCJ CPAs & Advisors, we are proud to highlight the ways our team members contribute to the profession and the community. This month, we are spotlighting Austin Childers, who is making an impact through his leadership with the Arkansas Society of CPAs (ARCPA).

Serving the Profession

Austin currently serves as Treasurer of the Central Chapter of the Arkansas Society of CPAs. In this role, he helps support the chapter’s initiatives and connect with peers across the state.

When asked what he enjoys most about serving, Austin shared:

“It’s a great way to make connections with peers from other Arkansas CPA firms and industry CPAs in Arkansas companies.”

Path to Leadership

Austin’s journey into board service began after he was selected for the 2023 ARCPA Leadership Academy, a program designed to develop emerging leaders in the profession. Looking for ways to stay more involved with the Society, he was invited to join the Central Chapter board in April 2024.

Looking Ahead

The ARCPA Central Chapter continues to provide valuable opportunities for professional growth and connection. Austin notes that the chapter hosts quarterly CPE luncheons, happy hours, and other networking activities for CPAs and accounting students throughout the central Arkansas region. These events not only strengthen the profession but also inspire the next generation of accounting leaders.

Leadership Beyond Numbers

Austin’s involvement with the ARCPA reflects HCJ’s values of leadership, connection, and professional excellence. We are proud of his commitment to strengthening the CPA community and look forward to seeing the positive impact he continues to make.
